STS Development Committee

In the spring of 2001, the Pennsylvania General Assembly passed the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC).  The EITC will Allow businesses to contribute to a non-profit scholarship fund and receive a credit of up to 90% in corporate state taxes for the amount contributed.

As a result, Bishop Nicholas C. Dattilo established the Neumann Scholarship Foundation, which will provide tuition assistance to schools in our diocese.  The diocese assures that "100% of the money that businesses and corporations donate through their tax credits to the Neumann foundation will be used for scholarship aid"!

We have decided to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity with the Neumann Scholarship Foundation and are asking for your support as Businessowners.  Your scholarship dollars will enable parents to send their children to St. Theresa--parents who might not otherwise be in a position to offer their children a quality, Catholic education.

Participation is simple! Just print and complete the attached application form, which designates St. Theresa School as the beneficiary of the tuition assistance.  Simply return the form to St. Theresa School's business office in New Cumberland.

Many other schools have seen enormous benefits from this program.  Trinity High School alone received contributions of over $35,000 last year!  We sincerely appreciate your support and thank you for your contribution.
