Distance Learning Info

  • Hello Distance Learners! I wanted to post info about how distance learning will work for art this year.

I have posted my 1st trimester syllabus for all grades on my teacher page.

1-2 days prior to your  Distance Learning Art class, I will post any supplies needed for the class.

The day of your class,  I will video myself introducing the week's lesson and giving a demonstration of what the students will be doing.

I will post that video by the end of the day ( 4 pm).

If you have any questions about the assignment, please feel free to contact me via email or google classroom.

If you are in K-2nd grade, the supplies needed and the video for that week's art class will be posted in your teacher's seesaw account.

If you are in grades 3-5th, your supply list and video will be posted to your teacher's google account. There will be a section for art.

If you are in 6th-8th grade, your supply list and video will be posted to your art class google classroom. I will be emailing 6-8th grade parents this week with the log in code for the art google classroom.

When we do projects that will require materials that are not "standard home" art materials, I will let you know a week in advance. You may choose to purchase these items on your own, or reach out to me to let me know if you would like to borrow them from the school. For example, when we do pastel projects, I will gladly loan them to you, but I will need to know by the Friday before class, so I can get them gathered and labeled for pick up.  When we do clay, the school will provide the air dry clay for you to use. It will be up to you to schedule a time to pick it up, prior to art class for that week. Please keep in mind that I do not teach at STS on Mondays, and will not be available on that day to prepare a pick up.

Since this whole experience is new to all of this, this entore plan is subject to change. For now, I think this will be the best way to proceeed, but that is subject to change at any time:)
