Early Childhood
Saint Theresa’s Preschool program strongly believes in a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment. As Christian educators, we recognize the distinct and unique individuality of each child and provide a God-centered approach to the spiritual, emotional, physical, and social development of each student.
Four-Year-Old Session:
- Morning Session is Monday, Wednesday Friday from 8:20am - 11:20am
- Afternoon Session is Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 12pm - 3pm
Three-Year-Old Session:
- Morning Session Tuesday and Thursday 8:20am - 10:45am *After Christmas break class will extend to 11:15am
- Currently there is no afternoon session available.
Your child has the option to come to school 5 days a week for the whole school day (7:30am - 5:30pm) if you choose to enroll them in our program with Inspiration Station. Inspiration Station is our extended day option. To enroll in Inspiration Station, your child must be enrolled in preschool at Saint Theresa. Their email address is inspirationstationsts@gmail.com.
Preschool Daily Schedule:
-Arrival and free play at centers
-Circle time
-Show and Tell
-Snack
-Outside recess (weather permitting)
-Group Activity:
Letter recognition, sounds, practice writing
math, number recognition, shapes, colors
-Group craft
-End the day with a story
Preschool Requirements: Children must be of age (3 or 4) by September 30th of the current school year. All children must be fully potty trained to enter Preschool, no pull-ups or training pants.
Curriculum includes:
Religion (prayers, creation, friends, feelings)
Science (senses, dental health, exercise, living things, weather, seasons)
Social Studies (family, community helpers, safety, transportation)
Art (painting, cutting, shapes, colors)
Motor Skills (balance, hop, skip, march)
Social development (confidence, uniqueness, independence, responsibility, behavior)
Preschool Goals:
To provide opportunities for the development of social skills through interactions with other children
To develop awareness of a child’s environment and surroundings
To help children become confident learners who explore independently and freely through fun and successful experiences.
To provide a sound educational foundation which will help to foster lifelong learning.
Class limit is 14 students for 4-year session and 12 students for 3-year session. (A full class has 1 teacher and 1 aide).
