• Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year!

    key

This year’s theme is "Christ is the Key!" From starting our day with the daily reading and prayers, to teachers embedding our beliefs throughout all curriculum with high expectations, and finally ending the day with the Act of Contrition, we will embrace this theme daily.

We continue to embrace technology in preparing students for the 21st Century.  In addition to the 25 student units in our computer lab, computers and IPads and/or Chromebooks for all teachers and Smart Boards in every class we began a 1 to 1 Chromebook initiative with our middle school students this past 2018-19 school year.  As this continues with successful implementation, 4th & 5th grade students now have their own Chromebooks for 2019-2020, while KG - 3rd will continue with class sets of Chromebooks and I-Pads.

We continue to utilize LabLearner, a 100% research-based, hands-on system of pre-kindergarten through eighth grade science education that includes a fully equipped in-school laboratory, complete curriculum including all assessments, on-line parent and teacher resources, and teacher professional development.  What is so unique about LabLearner is it teaches science by doing science.

Over the past year, we had students represent STS in all academic areas as high as state-wide competition excelling against both public and nonpublic schools. The contribution of our students and the school to various charities and actual works of charity have been numerous.  Additionally, we have dedicated staff and teachers who have a focus on professional development to continue to be the best that they can be in their instructional practices within the classroom.  We have a number of teachers as well, who are involved in various committees at the Diocesan level and make positive contributions there.

Finally, I would like to recognize and thank St. Theresa Parish and its parishioners, Father Sahd and of course the student and parents of STS, the School Board, PTO, teachers and staff for all of their support!

STS is has always been Christ-Centered Academic Excellence but we want everyone to "Experience the Saints Difference!".

I am looking forward to yet another great year!
